Indian Su-30MKI fighters of Russian design will fight in a training battle with Japanese warplanes, reports The Drive.
The publication writes that for this purpose India is sending its aircraft to Japan, which has, in particular, the American-designed F-15 Eagle and F-35 Lightning II fighters.
The Drive notes that the training battle will help Tokyo better understand the tactics of using fighters, which are in service not only in Delhi , but also in Moscow and Beijing, to which the Japanese side has territorial claims.
"The Indian Su-30 are equipped with a 3D thrust vector control system, which makes them especially unique for training in traditional air combat scenarios within line of sight," the newspaper notes.
In September, the Polish edition of Defense24 admitted that the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, in the course of joint training with the pilots of the Indian Su-30MKI, will have access to the data of this Russian-developed fighter.
