After modernization, one of the most powerful anti-tank missiles in the world, the 9M123M Chrysanthemum, will enter the arsenal of the Mi-28NM and Ka-52M attack helicopters.

“The Chrysanthemum is being modernized,” Valery Kashin, general designer of the Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau , confirmed to TASS .

The missile was created in the USSR and became one of the most powerful anti-tank systems in the world. Two guidance channels - radar and laser - made the Chrysanthemum an all-weather and all-day weapon. Also, thanks to them, one installation can attack two targets at the same time. The cumulative warhead is capable of penetrating meter-long armor behind ERA.

Until now, the combat vehicle of the same name based on the BMP-3 was the only standard missile carrier. According to experts, two such self-propelled guns, if properly placed and used, can stop a tank battalion.
