One of the Russian information resources told how two days ago a US Air Force F-15E fighter, having taken off from an air base in Estonia, attempted to intercept a group of combat aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The latter included the Tu-134, as well as two MiG-31K fighters, which are carriers of the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
The idea of the "American" was not crowned with success. The missile carriers were escorted by Su-35S fighters. And the “drying”, as stated, did not even allow them to get close to the MiGs.
The authors of the publication Avia.pro suggested that the Su-35S were not "spotted" by the F-15E, because for the US Air Force pilot, when he tried to get closer to the carriers of the "Dagger", the fighters came as a complete surprise.
It is emphasized that soon after the approach of the American aircraft, Su-30SM fighters based in the Kaliningrad region also joined the Su-35S.
It is known that the F-15E was raised into the sky after a group of Russian military aircraft proceeded through international airspace near the borders of Estonia.
The reasons for the transfer of the Kinzhal hypersonic missile systems to the Kaliningrad region have not yet been named, but it is easy to guess that this measure is connected with the tension that has arisen in relations between Russia and the West.
