Instrument Design Bureau demonstrated a detailed model of a new version of the
Pantsir-SM air defense system with an ammunition load increased to 24 missiles.
It is reported by RIA Novosti .
The agency noted that the complex received the prefix "TBM" (transport and combat vehicle). The standard version of the "Pantsir" has 12 missiles in the ammunition load, in the new one - 24. The increase was achieved by removing two automatic guns of 30 mm caliber.
One standard transport and launch container of the "Shell" fits 4 small-sized missiles that are capable of fighting small drones and copters. In the maximum load case "Pantsir-SM" TBM can carry out a hall of 96 missiles.
In addition, the new version had to abandon the station for detecting air targets: in combat formations, the Pantsir-SM will receive target designation from other vehicles in the battery or from command posts of an echeloned air defense system.
The new machine is equipped with a loading device, with the help of which the crew can independently reload the combat vehicle.
Earlier it was reported that KamAZ presented an unmanned mining dump truck.
