The Italian publication InsideOver published an article reporting that the USS Alaska's first trip to Gibraltar this year is the US response to Russia's testing of the Belgorod submarine, a powerful and innovative vehicle that threatens US national security. As the authors of the publication note, Russian ships often pass Gibraltar, and an unpleasant surprise awaits them there.

Note that tests of the newest submarine "Belgorod", the development of which began in 1992, started two days after the provocation of the British destroyer Defender in the Black Sea. The characteristics of the submarine, which has no analogues and is able to keep the enemy in fear, are carefully hidden, but it is known that this is the longest submarine in the world, writes  politros.com .

Russia has repeatedly informed NATO that its nuclear submarine, which still remains a mystery to Western experts, will carry Poseidon nuclear underwater drones capable of destroying American coastal cities.

Washington realized where the threat was coming from, so they brought the equally formidable strategic submarine USS Alaska to Gibraltar with nuclear warheads on board.

Observers for the Italian edition emphasize that the Pentagon is closely monitoring what is happening in the Russian defense sector. The Americans probably understand that the Russian "Belgorod" is an underwater unit, which is much more complicated than the previous brainchilds of Russian shipbuilders. The design of the Russian submarine provides for the possibility of docking with small nuclear submarines. As observers note, they are designed to conduct covert operations on the seabed and are capable of striking underwater cables.
