"The missile forces destroyed the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system," Konashenkov said.

According to the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, also over the past day, fighter aircraft and air defense of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down four Su-27 and one MiG-29 aircraft in the Zhytomyr region, Su-27 and Su-25 in the Radomyshl region, one Su-25 in near Nizhyn, two Mi-8 helicopters - in the Kyiv region. In just a day, six unmanned vehicles were destroyed, including Bayraktar TB2.

Konashenkov said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit over 2.2 thousand objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine, destroyed 69 aircraft on the ground and 24 aircraft in the air.

"In total, 2,203 military infrastructure facilities of Ukraine were hit during the operation. Among them, 76 command posts and communication centers of the Ukrainian armed forces, 111 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as 71 radar stations 69 aircraft on the ground and 24 aircraft in the air, 778 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 77 multiple rocket launchers, 279 field artillery pieces and mortars, 553 units of special military vehicles, as well as 62 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed," he said. Konashenkov.

Airfield in Starokonstantinov 

According to Konashenkov, on the morning of March 6, the Russian Armed Forces disabled the airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force in Starokonstantinov with a strike of precision-guided weapons. On the evening of March 5, as a result of a massive strike, 61 objects of the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit, he said.

"On the morning of March 6, a long-range high-precision weapon was struck. The airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force in Starokonstantinov was put out of action," he said.

According to him, on the evening of March 5, a massive blow was dealt. "As a result of which 61 objects of the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit, including: 22 units of weapons and military equipment in an underground shelter, a brigade command post, 9 ammunition and logistics depots and 3 radar posts," the general said.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the Donbass republics for help. He stressed that Moscow's plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories, the goal is the demilitarization and denazification of the country. As stated in the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian military does not strike at cities, but disable only the military infrastructure, so nothing threatens the civilian population.
