The crew of the newest corvette of the project 20385 "Thundering" , which is undergoing state tests in the Baltic Sea, has successfully completed missile and artillery fire at the target missile.
This was reported in the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the Baltic Fleet. The corvette is undergoing the final stage of state tests at the Baltic Fleet's maritime range in the Kaliningrad region.
The shooting was conducted by the Redut sea-based anti-aircraft missile system, AK-190 and AK-630 artillery mounts at a target missile imitating an anti-ship cruise missile of a conventional enemy. In this capacity, a missile launched from the R-257 missile boat of the Baltic Fleet was used.
The firing was carried out in a difficult jamming environment, the "enemy" used electronic countermeasures. This did not prevent them from successfully hitting the target with anti-aircraft missiles and dense artillery fire launched from the "Thundering".
Earlier, the ship's crew in the White Sea fired with Kalibr and Onyx cruise missiles at coastal and sea targets, and in the Barents Sea - artillery and torpedo firing.
New equipment for the Russian and foreign navies is constantly being tested at the sea ranges of the Baltic Fleet. The tests are provided by ships, support vessels, rescue forces and naval aviation of the BF. This time, more than ten ships and vessels of the fleet provided test rocket fire. They participated in blocking the firing area and launching a target rocket, this range was closed to civilian navigation.

Corvette "Thundering" is the lead ship of Project 20385, designed to detect and destroy submarines and surface ships, and to land troops. This is an improved version of the corvettes of the previous project 20380, which is distinguished by enhanced strike capabilities and an air defense system. Built in St. Petersburg for the Pacific Fleet.
