“Actually, we came for this - to make sure that the company is able to fulfill this contract,” the minister explained.
Earlier on Wednesday, Shoigu checked the work of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Building Plant (KnAAZ), which produces Su-35S and Su-57 fighters.
Construction of six corvettes
The Defense Ministry also plans to order the construction of six corvettes for the Navy at the Amur Shipyard (ASZ).
According to Shoigu, from October, the ASZ will apply a preferential scheme for attracting credit funds with a discount rate of 5%.
"Here, on behalf of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the President of our country, we plan to conclude a contract with the enterprise for the construction of six corvettes," the minister said.
According to him, by the end of 2028, up to 630 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the state defense order in the Khabarovsk Territory, which will have a positive effect on the regional budget.
The minister also expressed the hope that the regional leadership will support the NEA in the training and selection of personnel.

Shoigu made a number of instructions, and in particular about the conclusion of contracts for six new corvettes for the Navy after the United Shipbuilding Company (USC) switches to fixed prices.
