The S-350 “Vityaz” is equipped with a maintenance-free firing radar, which fully automatically solves the tasks of detecting, capturing targets for escort, launching missiles and transmitting data to the combat control point. The calculation task is to control the operation of the system and issue a command to fire at the target. Vityaz is designed for a range of destruction of objects up to 60 kilometers. Thanks to these air defense systems, the Ministry of Defense plans to double the effectiveness of the fight against cruise missiles.

At the same time, the S-350 was created taking into account the fact that it will be included in the circuit of automated air defense control systems, that is, the Vityaz can well work outside the echelon, protecting a certain object from air threats. This is a universal intercept weapon, capable of simultaneously directing 32 missiles and intercepting up to 16 targets moving at an altitude of up to 30 kilometers, “the expert emphasizes.

The Shoigu department plans that within seven years the Russian army will receive 12 Vityazy divisions, which corresponds to 144 anti-aircraft missile systems. They will be deployed along Russian borders to effectively protect against invasion and interception of ballistic missiles. Complete re-equipment should be completed in 2027 – Vityaz will gradually replace the S-300PS and Buk-M of the first and second versions.

C-350 allows you to effectively intercept low-flying targets at the extreme ranges of the affected area.
