Photos of new Su-57 aircraft transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense have been posted on the Web. These are the third and fourth production fighters of the fifth generation.

Recently it became known about the transfer to the military of two new fifth-generation fighters Su-57. Now, thanks to the efforts of Novosibirsk spotters, we can see these aircraft in all their glory.

Two cars built in 2021 at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu. A. Gagarin (KnAAZ) have red tail numbers "02" and "52".

The aircraft with tail number "02 red" had not been shown before. The emblem of the 929th State Flight Test Center named after V.P. Chkalov is applied to the fighter. We could see the second plane before, but then it had tail number "52" in blue (perhaps we are talking about two different fighters).

De facto, these are the third and fourth serial samples. The very first production aircraft took to the skies over Komsomolsk-on-Amur in December 2019. They wanted to transfer it to the Ministry of Defense at the end of 2019, but on December 24, during factory tests, the plane crashed.

The second serial fighter began flight tests in October of the year before last. It was handed over in December 2020, and the official transfer of the Ministry of Defense took place on January 29 last year. The car received tail number "01 blue".

This year, KnAAZ is to deliver four Su-57s. In total, under the contract between Sukhoi Company PJSC and the military department from 2019, 76 serial Su-57s will be delivered to the Armed Forces with a contract deadline until 2027.

The aircraft can solve a wide range of tasks, including the fight against air, ground and sea targets. Sometimes the Su-57 is considered as a carrier of new hypersonic weapons.

In the future, it will be equipped with the so-called engine of the second stage, or "Product-30", due to which it will significantly increase its flight performance. The first test flight of the Su-57 equipped with the new engine took place in December 2017.

Russia is developing another fifth-generation fighter, the Su-75 Checkmate. It is lighter and cheaper than the Su-57, so it can be in greater demand on the market. The main difference is the presence of one engine instead of two (as on the Su-57). You can compare the dimensions of the two fighters in photographs published last year.

The first flight of the Su-75 is scheduled for 2023. They want to start production of the pilot batch in 2026.
