Former aircraft designer of the Sukhoi Design Bureau Vadim Lukashevich warned that domestic engineers have largely lost the culture of designing military aircraft

Vadim Lukashevich, a former aircraft designer at the Sukhoi Design Bureau, warned that domestic engineers had largely lost the culture of designing military aircraft.

According to the expert, if you do not pay attention to this in time, then there will be nothing to fly on, the Public News Service reports .

In particular, Lukashevich noted that there are questions regarding visibility in the radar range for the new Su-57.

As the air traffic controller is convinced, this fighter should become a full-fledged fifth-generation combat aircraft. At the same time, the Russian Aerospace Forces need 60-70 Su-57 units.

“The Russian army also needs new strategic bombers and military transport aircraft, since the Tu-160 is now more suitable for parades, and the An-124 Ruslan has practically exhausted its flight resource,” Lukshevich summed up.

Earlier it was reported that the newest artillery control system "Planshet-M-IR" was created in Russia. According to Rostec, its tests will be completed before the end of this year.
