The new Russian
fighter Checkmate will receive a communication system from the Su-57 aircraft.
This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Russian state-owned company, the Ruselectronics holding.
“The communication complex is planned to be installed on the promising Checkmate fighter. At the same time, a number of technological solutions will reduce the cost of equipment while maintaining the high efficiency of the communication system,” the state corporation said.
Earlier, Ruselectronics reported that tests of the upgraded communication system for fifth-generation Su-57 fighters would begin this fall, and a prototype is already in production.
The communication complex itself is being developed by the Polyot research and production company of the Ruselectronics holding (Rostec State Corporation).
Recall that the Checkmate light tactical single-engine aircraft, developed by Sukhoi, debuted at the MAKS 2021 air show.
