The crew of the strategic missile submarine cruiser "Prince Vladimir" will spend several days on the tests in the White Sea. Sea trials of the lead ship of the Borey-A project provide search and rescue support for the Northern Fleet and the White Sea Naval Base. For control tests, the cruiser went with the delivery team of Sevmash.

 "RG" already wrote that on Tuesday evening, "Prince Vladimir" left Severodvinsk in the White Sea. As Captain 1st Rank Captain Vadim Serga, head of the Northern Fleet’s press service, said on May 13, he would spend several days in the sea under control sea trials, first in the surface and then underwater.

 Specialists will check the quality of the elimination of the comments that were noted in previous tests. And after this, the question of the inclusion of an underwater cruiser in the Russian Navy will be decided.

 At this stage of testing in the White Sea, "Prince Vladimir" is assisted by the crews of the rescue tug "Zvezdochka" and the rescue ship "Mikhail Rudnitsky".

 "Prince Vladimir" - the lead ship of the project "Borey-A". The submarine is characterized by greater stealth, improved maneuvering and retention systems at depth. It carries 16 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles. The cruiser can also use cruise missiles, rocket torpedoes and torpedoes.
