At the "Experimental Engineering Plant named. V.M. Myasishcheva ”(part of the Transport Aviation Division of the UAC of Rostec State Corporation) preliminary (factory) tests of the modernized An-140-100 aircraft in the aerial survey version are being conducted.

After completing work on the enterprise to finalize the airframe and systems, the aircraft was transferred to the flight test base for ground and flight tests. Tests should confirm the safety and reliability of the design, the operability of the installed equipment.

An-140-100, upgraded to the option of cartographic aerial photography of the area, will be able to conduct photography of the area with high resolution. The quality of the resulting images will ensure widespread use of the obtained data in various fields of activity.

Initial aerial survey materials can later be used to create digital terrain information, which includes a system of electronic and digital maps, spatial and three-dimensional models of the surface and bottom of reservoirs, plans for the shelf and inland reservoirs.
