A far sea training fleet under the Southern Theater Command, composed of a Type 054A frigate Liuzhou, two 056A corvettes and a Type 903 replenishment ship Weishanhu, has sailed off to the Celebes Sea in west Pacific via the South China Sea and across the equator.
Their mission was to conduct more than 20 real combat-oriented exercises.
China marks the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army on August 1.
