Moscow. 11th August. Interfax-AVN - The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) will receive more than 60 new and 200 modernized aircraft this year, said the Commander of the Air Force - Deputy Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergey Dronov.
"By the end of the year, it is planned to supply more than 60 units of new aviation equipment, including modern multipurpose aircraft Su-30SM, Su-35S, Su-57 and front-line bombers Su-34, heavy military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A, combat helicopters Mi-28NM, Ka-52 and airborne transport - Mi-8AMTSh-VN, "Dronov said in an interview with the Russian Defense Ministry newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda.
According to him, in addition to this, the Aerospace Forces will receive 200 modernized aircraft.
"All samples of aviation equipment are equipped with the latest personal protection systems, great attention is paid to increasing survival in the air, reducing radar signature, automating aircraft control processes and using weapons," Dronov said.
He noted that all samples are being tested in Syria and are being promptly refined following the results of combat use.
