It also became known that Antonov plans to complete and start flight tests of three import-substituting transport aircraft in 2022.

The Makarov Southern Machine-Building Plant Production Association is to deliver the first set of new chassis for the An-178-100R at the end of October this year.

Serhiy Bychkov, General Director of Antonov, told journalists of Apostrophe .

We are cooperating with the State Tax Administration, including Pivdenmash. It is very fortunate that Serhiy Voit, the general director, works there. "An-178, which was previously made by the Russian company" Hydromash ". The first set of chassis produced by" Pivdenmash "will be received in late October," - said the head of the state enterprise "Antonov".

Earlier, Pivdenmash did not produce chassis for the An-178, although in 2015 plans were announced to replace Russian steel racks with titanium from the Dnieper plant.

He added that after recent talks, Antonov had agreed with Pivdenmash to manufacture other parts for its aircraft at the plant's facilities.

According to Serhiy Bychkov, import substitution on the An-178 prototype (board №1) has now been fully completed. It is planned to conduct its flight tests next year.

We have found analogues of almost all systems. These are components from the USA, Canada, France, Germany. However, we are trying to increase the share of Ukrainian-made components. After all, everyone understands that Antonov is a competitor, so they seem to help us, but not really actively: there is no corresponding permission, then something else ", - the general director told.

In order to reduce possible problems with components in the future, Antonov is counting on the gradual replacement of components of foreign origin with Ukrainian ones.

"As a manager, I assure you that the production of almost all components that we buy in far and near abroad, over time, can be established in Ukraine, because I know the scientific, technical and production capabilities of our companies," said Sergei Bychkov.

For this purpose, in addition to negotiations with Pivdenmash, meetings were held with other Ukrainian producers.

"I gathered the heads of more than 30 companies in the areas of hydraulics, on-board electronic equipment, chassis and other units and offered to start working together. I am convinced that in 3-5 years Ukrainian aircraft construction will be provided with Ukrainian components," said Serhiy Bychkov.

Currently, the company plans to complete the replacement of Western components in the near future and start flying on three aircraft at once - the already mentioned higher research An-178-100R №1 and the first two carriers, which are being built under contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"Last year, a contract was signed for three aircraft for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which we are now successfully implementing. The work is in full swing so that in the first half of 2022 the first plane took off, by the end of the year - the second," said the head of the state enterprise.

It will be recalled that the conclusion of a contract with Pivdenmash for the supply of 13 front and main landing gear struts for An-178 aircraft in the amount of 170,351,436 hryvnias became known on March 1, 2021. However, at that time the terms of the order were not known.

For the first time about a significant reduction in the readiness of the first An-178-100R (from the middle of 2023 under the contract for 2022) for the Armed Forces Yuri Gusev and Sergei Bychkov promised at the ceremony of rolling out his fuselage on May 20, 2021

It should also be added that at the end of May it was known about the plans to start flight tests of two An-178 (№1 and №7). Plans to complete the construction of another car for the Ministry of Defense next year and start its flights were not announced at that time.
