As predicted, Ukraine again failed to fulfill once again the postponed deadline for the completion of the ill-fated tank contract of 2011 with Thailand. According to the Thai network sources, on December 12, 2017, the next (the seventh in a row) party of five BM Oplot-T tanks manufactured by the Kharkov state plant "VA Plant" was delivered to the Thai naval base of Sattahip by a sea vessel from Ukraine Malysheva "under the contract of 2011. Thus, the total number of tanks for this contract, delivered to Thailand, reached 36, out of 49 contracted.

Recall that in 2016 GC Ukrspetsexport reached an
agreement with the Thai side to postpone the completion of the contract for the
"autumn of 2017", but in the end, and this deadline was not
fulfilled.
Contract No. USE-18.2-356-D / K-11 worth more than $ 240 million was signed by SC Ukrspetsexport on September 1, 2011 and provided for the supply of the army of Thailand with 49 new tanks BM Oplot-T and two armored repair and evacuation vehicles for their base, with the deadline for the execution of the contract by the end of 2014. Thailand was actually the starting customer for the BM Oplot tanks developed by the Kharkov Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau, which represents the further development of the T-80U / UD family of tanks.
The agreed schedule for the Oplot-T BM shipment under the contract was as follows: December 2012 - five cars, August 2013 - 15 vehicles, December 2013 - 15 vehicles, August 2014 - 14 vehicles.
Implementation of the contract "Plant named after VA Malyshev" began in April 2012 and the enterprise faced significant difficulties in resuming tank production after more than a decade break. Under the terms of the contract, the first five tanks were to be delivered to the customer in December 2012, then the date of delivery of the first five tanks to the Thai side was called May 2013. Actually, the first five tanks "Oplot-T", manufactured under this contract, were demonstrated in Kharkov only on October 15, 2013, sent to Thailand with a declared customs value of $ 4.45 million each December 20, 2013 and delivered by sea to Thailand on February 4, 2014.
The second batch of five Oplot-T tanks was manufactured by the Malyshev Plant by the beginning of 2015 and delivered to Thailand on May 31, 2015. The third batch of five Oplot-T tanks was completed by the end of 2015 through April 2016 and delivered to Thailand on May 21, 2016. The fourth batch of five Oplot-T tanks was delivered to Thailand on November 11, 2016.
The shipment of the fifth batch of five tanks that arrived on June 12, 2017, was carried out to Thailand from Kharkov in early March.

The seventh of five BM Oplot-T tanks, which arrived on December 12, was dispatched at the end of September 2017.
Thus, all in all, Thailand received 36 BM "Oplot-T" tanks. The remaining 13 tanks manufactured by the Malyshev Plant named after VA Malyshev are likely to be delivered in 2018 under this contract.
