The first monument to a fifth-generation fighter was erected in China. A prototype of the J-20 fighter was placed on the territory of the Chengdu Aerospace Corporation training center. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The prototype, which was turned into a monument, was used in the life tests of the fighter. The publication notes that it differs from the production version of the J-20. Also, before being installed on a pedestal, the aircraft was deprived of its internal equipment.

Earlier, The Drive drew attention to satellite images of the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group's airfield in Chengdu. In the photographs, we noticed a new fighter made according to a tailless aerodynamic design. The dimensions of the aircraft were comparable to the serial J-20.

In October , the first pictures of the two-seat version of the J-20 appeared on the network . It was reported that the new aircraft could become the basis for the creation of training modifications and strike versions of the J-20.

In December 2020, Popular Mechanics magazine compared the J-20 fighter to the Russian Su-57. The publication noted that the Chinese aircraft is superior to the domestic one in stealth, but has the worst maneuverability.
