According to him, the creation of ammunition equipped with remote detonation systems is a global trend in the development of small-caliber artillery and grenade launchers. Thus, the effectiveness of the defeat of small-sized targets is significantly increased: tank-hazardous manpower and drones, including a small class.
“We have completed testing a complex of controlled remote detonation for the Terminator tank support combat vehicle,” said the general designer.
Chizhevsky noted that the use of the complex allows for high-precision air detonation of ammunition at a given point. This increases the effectiveness of artillery systems.
"The adopted scheme does not require the modification of the guns, which is a fundamental advantage in relation to other possible methods of programming the fuse. This complex has passed the stage of preliminary tests and transferred to state tests," the agency's interlocutor added.
The Terminator Infantry Support Fighting Vehicle entered service in 2018. It is armed with two 30mm 2A42 cannons, four 9M120-1 anti-tank missiles of the Attack type with a laser guidance system, two AGS-17 grenade launchers and a 7.62mm Kalashnikov tank machine gun.
