The Royal Thai Marine Corps plans to acquire 155 mm / 52 ATMG from Elbit Systems

The Royal Thai Marine Corps plans to acquire 155 mm / 52 ATMG from Elbit Systems, Israel which will be assigned to the Royal Thai Marine Corps defending the Eastern border with Cambodia.  The Royal Thai Marine Corps are already in negotiations for the required options and assembly of the gun systems.  The ATGM entered service with the Royal Thai Army in 2015 and is currently considered to be one of the most advance weapons system.  The Royal Thai Marine Corps currently field 12 155mm GC-45 towed howitzer since 1980 and 6 GHN-45 A1 APU since 1988. กองทัพเรือ จะซื้อปืนใหญ่รุ่นใหม่ ATMG นาวิกโยธินไทยเตรียมแผนจัดหาปืนใหญ่ อัตตาจรล้อยางขนาด 155 มม./52 คาลิเบอร์ATMG” จากบริษัท Elbit Systems ประเทศอิสราเอล เพื่อเพิ่มศักยภาพด้วยอาวุธที่ทันสมัยให้กับหน่วยทหารปืนใหญ่ของกองพลนาวิกโยธินสำหรับภารกิจป้องกันประเทศด้านภาคตะวันออก ซึ่งมีชายแดนติดกับกัมพูชา โดยได้เริ่มเจรจากับ ศอว.ศอพท.ถึงรายละเอียด การประกอบและออปชั่นต่างๆ ที่กองทัพเรือต้องการไปบ้างแล้ว และกำหนดจัดหาในปีหน้านี้ ระบบปืนใหญ่อัตตาจร ATMG เข้าประจำการในกองทัพบกไทย 6 กระบอกแรก เมื่อปลายปี 2558 นับเป็นระบบปืนใหญ่ที่มีความทันสมัยมากในปัจจุบัน นาวิกโยธินไทยเรามีปืนใหญ่ลากจูงแบบ GC-45 ขนาด 155 มม. รวม 12 กระบอก เข้าประจำการครั้งแรกในปี 2523 และ GHN-45 A1 APU อีก 6 กระบอก ประจำการในปี 2531 บัดนี้ถึงเวลาที่ทหารปืนใหญ่ของนาวิกโยธิน จะมีอาวุธใหม่ๆ ที่มีประสิทธิภาพและขีดความสามารถสูงไว้ใช้งานกันแล้ว.. / Sompong Nondhasa
