New multi-million dollar contract modification awarded in support of Afghan Air Force - The Khaama Press News Agency:

The Leidos Inc. received a multi-million dollar contract modification in support of the Afghan Air Force and the Special Mission Wing of the Afghan armed forces.
The Department of Defense in a statement said it awarded a $33,330,855 modification (P00030) to contract W58RGZ-17-C-0058 to Leidos Inc. for contractor logistics support services in Afghanistan in support of the Afghanistan Air Force and Special Mission Wing.
The statement further added that Leidos Inc. will perform the work in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Gaithersburg, Maryland.
According to Department of Defense, Leidos Inc. will complete the contract works by May 31, 2020.
The Department of Defense awarded a $728 million contract to Leidos Inc. in support of the Afghan Air Force in late in late 2018.
This comes as Efforts are underway to bolster the capabilities of the Afghan Air Force.
The NATO-led Train, Advise, Assist Mission officials had earlier said that the alliance would step up efforts to triple the size of the Afghan Air Force by 2023.
