MOSCOW, July 9. / TASS /. Two strategic missile carriers Tu-160 of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation flew from the Saratov region to the Anadyr airfield (Chukotka) as part of long-range aviation tactical flight exercises. This was reported to reporters at the RF Ministry of Defense.

The crews covered about 7 thousand km in seven hours without additional landings.

“The flight from the deployment point to Chukotka went smoothly. There were no comments. The crews faced the tasks for this flight. ", - the military department quotes the words of the commander of long-range aviation, Lieutenant-General Sergei Kobylash.

Aircraft Tu-160, Tu-95MS and Il-78 are involved in the long-range aviation exercises. The pilots practice the tasks of redeploying aviation equipment to operational airfields, flights with refueling in the air, the combat use of aviation weapons against ground targets and other tasks.
