As reported by Forbes, an unexpected maneuver by the Russian Aerospace Forces frightened the personnel of the US air bases located in Western Europe.

It is noted that Russian Tu-160s, accompanied by MiG-31 fighters, headed for the shores of Greenland, after which they made a turn towards Norway and returned to the base. During the flight, as the journalists note, the Russian missile carriers conducted drills on US military bases located in Europe, which include bases in Iceland and Norway, as well as Greenland.

In the opinion of the authors of the article, Russia carried out a similar maneuver before the arrival of American bombers in the region. The publication notes that the United States, as well as NATO, expect big trouble during the escalation of tensions in the designated region, given the fact that the possibilities of the Russian Federation are much wider.
