MOSCOW, January 12. / TASS /. Nuclear submarine (nuclear submarine) of project 885M ("Ash-M") "Kazan" is completing tests, Director General of the enterprise Mikhail Budnichenko said in an interview to " Zavod " magazine.
"The lead nuclear submarine of the series, Kazan, is completing a test cycle and is preparing to be handed over to the fleet," Budnichenko said.
He explained that in December the ship had successfully fired off with Onyx and Caliber missiles in the White Sea.
Earlier, the press service of the Sevmash enterprise (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC) reported that the Kazan nuclear submarine would be handed over to the Russian Navy in 2021.
"Kazan" was launched on March 31, 2017. The timing of its transfer to the fleet was repeatedly postponed.
