The State Department has approved the Dutch government’s request to procure pilot training and logistics support for Boeing-built (NYSE: BA) AH-64 Apache and CH-47 Chinook helicopters under two foreign military sales agreements worth approximately $315 million combined.

The FMS deal for AH-64 helicopter pilot training support is worth $190 million and the transaction for CH-47 training assistance is valued at $125 million, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.

Both transactions include fuel, base operating support, facilities, personnel training and training equipment, publications and technical documentation, weapon system and software support, program support and U.S. government and contractor technical and engineering services. The deals do not involve any principal contractor and will not require the deployment of U.S. government or contractor representatives to the European country.

The proposed FMS deals will support the Netherlands air force’s AH-64 and CH-47 training programs needed to maintain deployment-ready Apache and Chinook units.

DSCA said it notified Congress of the deals Tuesday.
