Indian is Not Planning to Buy Russia`s Su-57 Fighter Jet
NEW DELHI, (BM) – A loud statement was made by the Chief of Staff of the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Rakesh Bhadauria. Marshall said that the Indian Air Force “will soon have its own fifth-generation multirole fighter”, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
“India will soon have fighters that can compete with the American F-22 and F-35, the Chinese Chengdu J-20 and the Russian Su-57 company Sukhoi. The development of an improved fifth-generation fighter was begun and is being carried out with significant acceleration”, Air Force Chief of Staff Rakesh Bhadauria said.
This program in India is called AMCA. It was previously claimed that this is not even the fifth, but the sixth generation of fighters that will receive the Indian Air Force. However, until now it was usually added that these aircraft could appear in service with parts of the Indian Air Force no earlier than 2030 of the year.
Now, Rakesh Bhadauria used the word “soon” to talk about the appearance of AMCA fighters in the Air Force. How exactly “soon” did not specify.
