SEVASTOPOL, June 9. / TASS /. The anti-sabotage boat "Pavel Silaev" and the sea tugboat "Sergei Balk" of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) were sent to the Mediterranean Sea as part of the group of the Russian Navy, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet reported on Wednesday.

"The anti-sabotage boat Pavel Silaev and the sea tug Sergei Balk of the Black Sea Fleet are passing the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits. A detachment of ships is making a planned transition from Sevastopol to the Mediterranean Sea," the message says.

It is specified that in the far sea zone, the boat and the tug, in accordance with the rotation plan of the naval forces, will replenish the forces of the permanent grouping of the Russian Navy.

"Sergei Balk" belongs to the newest series of tugboats of project 23470, the main purpose of which is sea towing in ice and in clear water, pilotage in the water area of ​​ports, mooring of ships to the berth, performance of escort operations at sea, extinguishing fires on floating and onshore facilities and burning on water fuel, as well as the removal of ships and vessels from aground. The carrying capacity of the new tugs is 200 tons. The cruising range is 300 miles, the autonomy is 30 days.
