The Russian wheeled armored personnel carrier Boomerang has a new function. It can now be controlled remotely - from a mobile phone.
This was stated by the general director of the Military-Industrial Company Alexander Krasovitsky, writes TASS . He noted that in the remote control mode "Boomerang" can move forward and backward, turn the turret and barrel. In addition, the display shows the fuel level and oil temperature.
RG has already written that on the basis of the unified interspecific wheeled armored platform Boomerang, a large number of samples of military equipment may appear. The weight of the car reaches 34,400 kilograms, and the carrying capacity is 10,700 kilograms. The 750-horsepower YaMZ-780 engine provides a maximum highway speed of up to 100 kilometers per hour. The power reserve is 800 kilometers. The K-17 infantry fighting vehicle is equipped with the Epoch module with an automatic 30 mm cannon with a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and Kornet anti-tank missiles.
