To protect against enemy fire, the tank is equipped with anti-cumulative lattice screens and a complex of modular dynamic protection. The chassis has been improved. Tanks T-80BVM are adapted for operations in low temperatures.
The T-90M Breakthrough is the latest modification of the T-90 main battle tank. The T-90M, in particular, has a new turret module and a highly automated digital fire control system. It was reported that the tank was equipped with climate control.
On February 23, the Uralvagonzavod concern (UVZ, Rostec) informed Interfax about the start of serial deliveries of T-90M to the Russian military. "These are long-term contracts for a large number of cars," the UVZ said at the time.
