Military aircraft of the Russian Federation Su-30SM will still be based on the territory of Belarus with the permission of Minsk. The leader of the union state, Alexander Lukashenko, has already ceased to oppose the fact that the units of the Russian army, weapons and aircraft of the Russian Federation were stationed on a permanent basis in his country. At first, while the Russian airbase will function in the guise of a combat training center, informing.Ru reports with reference to Svobodnaya Pressa.

Military-political cooperation between Moscow and Minsk continues to develop actively within the framework of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. Over the past year, the situation along the western borders of both Russia and Belarus has become increasingly threatening. NATO is striving in every possible way to strengthen its military presence from the east. Currently in Estonia, at the Emiri airbase, the 5th generation Italian multirole stealth fighters of the F-35 type are deployed. These military aircraft are designed to carry out combat duty in the Baltic waters, which is carried out within the framework of NATO's Baltic Air Policing mission.

Substantial forces were also redeployed to Lithuania. Seven Eurofighter fighters of the Spanish Air Force have already arrived in this country. It is expected that very soon, as part of the rotation of the same NATO Baltic Air Policing mission, 4 F-16 fighters from Turkey will arrive at the Malbork air base in Poland. Moscow and Minsk cannot ignore such aggressive actions of the West. And although Belarus previously stated that it would not station Russian troops on its territory on a permanent basis, during the talks between Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko that ended in Sochi, it was agreed to strengthen military cooperation between Russia and Belarus within the framework of the Union State.

According to experts, Minsk's consent to the creation of a combat training center is another step towards strengthening military cooperation between Russia and Belarus.
