MOSCOW, August 19. / TASS /. Tests of the newest Russian
AK-12 assault rifle have been completed, and its mass production may begin in
2018. This was in an interview with TASS, the general director of the concern
"Kalashnikov" (part of Rostekh) Alexey Krivoruchko.
"The tests have been completed, the customer has
identified a number of comments while working with the product, but we fixed
all the shortcomings and eliminated them.We are now waiting for the final
decision of the Ministry of Defense.If this decision is taken, we are ready to
start serial shipments next year, but there is no contract for serial supplies
yet ", - said Krivoruchko.
Earlier in the concern, TASS was informed that the
experimental-military operation of the automatic weapons for combat equipment "Ratnik"
AK-12 was completed. "Ratnik" is positioned as equipment
"soldier of the future". It includes several dozen elements,
including, as previously reported, nine weapons.
