Indra has
teamed with Atlas Elektronik to provide electronic systems for the German
navy’s Braunschweig-class K130 corvettes.
Indra has been
contracted by the navy to provide the second series of the corvette with five
of its latest generation Rigel radar electronic support measures/radar
electronic countermeasures systems, alongside German partner Atlas.
Indra has
previously integrated this type of system into the first series of K130
corvettes that are in service with the German navy, so is supplying a system
that is customer-proven, it said.
The Rigel system
provides the vessel with the ability to monitor the electromagnetic spectrum
and detect active radar emissions, and thereby counter multiple active threats
simultaneously by using disturbance and deception techniques.
