Ukraine supplies another batch of Oplot tanks to Thailand, plans to complete contract in Q1, 2018

Malyshev Plant state enterprise (Kharkiv) has shipped another batch of Oplot battle tanks, built within the contract worth over $240 million signed in 2011, to Thailand, while the completion of the contract with the Thai customer is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018, the press service of Ukroboronprom state concern has said.

According to the report, the next batch of new Ukrainian armored vehicles was sent to Thailand on December 27, 2017 after stationary and field tests and acceptance by the customer.

The state concern does not voice the volume of the shipped lot.

"Under the contract with Thailand, Malyshev Plant has to transfer a few combat vehicles to the customer. The plant plans to complete the agreements in the first quarter of 2018," the press service said.

At present, Malyshev Plant is ready to proceed with the implementation of the state defense order for production of Oplot tanks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the report says.
