February 6, 2018, AEX.RU - In January, specialists of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor NE Kuznetsov. Zhukovsky (included in the Research Center "Institute named after NE Zhukovsky") completed the next stage of static strength tests of the airframe of the Yak-152 training aircraft. This was reported by the press service of TsAGI.
The object of research was the elements of the feathering and fuselage of the aircraft. Scientists-hardened, subjected to simultaneous loading fuselage, vertical and horizontal tail, bringing the effort first to operational, and then to the calculated (that is, the limit) value. After that, the Yak-152 rudder was tested. Specialists applied axial loads to the element, deflecting it to the left by 9, and then by 20 degrees. At this stage, the effort also reached the calculated value.
"The design of the aircraft successfully withstood both series of strength tests, without having received any residual deformations or destruction. The results obtained can be used in preparing the conclusion on the strength of the Yak-152, "stressed Anna Pankrashina, head of the research department of the strength of flying vehicles of FSUE TsAGI.
Currently, the aircraft is preparing for the next stage of experiments - experts are going to investigate the horizontal plumage of the aircraft in case of roll.
Yak-152 is a single-engine double trainer of initial training and professional selection of pilots. It is expected that cadets of specialized schools will be able to master the initial piloting technique, the basics of navigation and the principles of group flights. The aircraft development project was launched in 2014, and the first specimen climbed into the sky in September 2016.
